frequency
the recommended frequency for routine contact sessions is once a week - allowing the student sufficient time for independent practice towards embedment and mastering of new or focus elements and techniques

ad-hoc or more frequent contact sessions can be arranged, but is subject to available capacity

consultative
the initial contact session with the student is consultative in nature, aimed at assessing current proficiency levels and understanding the student's overall learning objectives

the registered address for studio-based contact sessions, is in the harveston ah area which falls under the greater roodepoort district in gauteng

scheduling
the operating hours during which pre-arranged and confirmed contact session appointments with students take place are weekdays from 18:00 to 21:00, or weekends from 09:00 to 14:00

unless otherwise notified, contact sessions falling on public holidays continue as scheduled

student centric
there is no prescribed or standard curriculum - the content and structure of contact sessions are tailored to each student's defined learning outcomes and unique pace of progress

travel service
the piano instructor also offer to travel to the student's preferred location for contact sessions

this service feature is only available to locations which fall within the company's service area, being 30km radius from the registered address

duration
the default duration is 50 minutes and is considered optimal for sustained concentration, while allowing sufficient time to both evaluate progress with current focus areas, and advance to subsequent learning objectives

extended or shortened sessions, depending on the student's needs and learning profile, can be agreed

one-on-one
face-to-face contact sessions with the piano instructor take place at the piano, and ensures dedicated and focussed attention in favour of the student's musical development

complementary
a student's first contact session is complementary and completely obligation free, even if after the initial consultation the student opts to not pursue piano lessons any further

language
contact sessions are facilitated in either afrikaans or english, depending on the student's preference

official correspondence with students and/or students' guardian(s) is issued in english only

balanced scope
contact sessions are balanced to incorporate all traditional examinable competencies, integrating practical, theoretical and historical elements, to the extent relevant to the student's learning profile and objectives

fee structure
the base fee is 155.60 per 50 minute contact session, and the student's overall tuition fee is imputed with reference to the actual duration of lessons attended

where students make use of the travel service, a travel factor of up to 77.80 per lesson (irrespective of the contact session duration) is added
