about the company and piano coach...
the company, Classical Piano Coaching,
was formed to guide and inspire individuals of all ages
on their musical journey - whether it is:
-
fulfilling a lifelong dream of learning to play the piano;
-
seeking out alternative methods to overcome technical challenges or
-
developing skills to unlearn limiting form;
-
assisting with examination readiness as well as
-
building public performance confidence; or
-
simply to stimulate the creative spirit through composition...

...it does so by breaking away from
the traditional piano lesson structure and approach;
rather, using student-defined outcomes as departure point
to plan out tailored coaching sessions
that are unique to each student's needs.

the founding director (and the company's piano coach)
is a unisa-graded pianist who've shown interest in, and became acquainted with the king of instruments at the tender age of four.

He commenced with formal classical training by the age of eight, and attained the NQF level 4 qualification - covering both the music theory and practical divisions - prior to graduating from secondary education.

Over the years, he participated in local art competitions, performed at select public and special occasions, composed original works and also crafted arrangements of a few well-known and popular pieces for piano - which he started publishing in the public domain since 2022.

As qualified chartered accountant - fully registered with the south african institution - he also maintains a full-time professional career as assurance and risk specialist in the banking industry.
